Gypsy Tour Race

The "gypsy tour race" is an American motorcycling term that originated in the 1920's.  These tours were organized by groups of riders from different parts of the country who would meet up at their favorite destinations. How badass is this? Sign us up & we'll be rocking our moto jackets, obviously!

The "birth of the American biker" occurred during the infamous Gypsy Tour event in Holister, California in 1947.  It is said to have affected not only the motorcycle culture, but all of American society as well.  More on Holister '47 coming soon.  Stay tuned...
